Engineering and Robotics
Studies on the specialty „manufacturing systems’ engineering” are focused on the training of professionals – mechanical engineers - for the needs of modern industry, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In the course of study, students gain knowledge and skills in the field of design and operation of the technological and transportation equipment’s systems. Particular attention is given to the machinebuilding industry, processing of plastics, construction materials and ceramics, as well as the problems of industrial waste management. Students have the option of a broad knowledge of IT tools in the field of engineering’s software. For most of the design and laboratory exercises, professional and original computer programs are used to assist the processes of design and simulation of technological processes. The prominent content of lectures covers system and interdisciplinary approach of design and operational problems of machines and equipment. In addition, students learn about the legal and economic determinants of their own business.
Graduates receive the knowledge in the design and operation of equipment incorporated in the modern production lines and sockets. They also acquire the necessary knowledge of the processes taking place in them: the production, transport and logistics. They are prepared for conceptual work, have knowledge of the global trends in the design and operation of technological and transport equipment. In addition, they acquire skills of analysis and synthesis of issues related to the directions of their activities. Thanks to this preparation, our graduates are employed in production plants, design companies, scientific research units and are prepared to run their own business.
