Candidates for the specialisation “Automatics Control in Machine Systems in Mining” should hold the BSc degree in the major area: Automatics and Robotics and having completed the II level course they will earn the MSc title. The MSc degree course enhances the student’s repository of engineering knowledge, teaching them how to formulate, analyse and solve problems involving automatic control in machine systems in mining.
Thus obtained theoretical and practical skills will enable the students to design, construct and operate machine systems, including various types of control systems. This knowledge is offered to the students within the framework of the body of major subjects. Practical application and extension of this knowledge is ensured through the system of senior project and the writing of final MSc thesis. Graduates shall be well prepared to handle and solve technical problems relating to the operation and control of machine systems in mines. They might also seek employed at universities and in research and development units.
Graduates who specialised in ‘Automation in Machine Systems in Mining’ will be able to will enable to design, construct and operate various types of automatic systems used in the mining sector. Extensive knowledge of basic and specialist engineering subjects supported by advanced computer skills and a team work ability allow them to well compete on the labour market.
