The Faculty of Mechanical
Engineering and Robotics
Full-time doctoral studies last four years and are conducted based on the programme defined by the Faculty Council and approved by the Rector. The Dean or a Deputy Dean (upon the Dean's authorisation) manages all the matters related to doctoral studies at the Faculty. The Faculty Council is responsible for substantive supervision over the studies. The Dean may transfer some of its responsibilities to the Director of Doctoral Studies. The Rector acts as an appeal body from all the decisions made by the Dean and the Faculty Council that fall within the scope of the Rules of Doctoral Studies. The admission exam for doctoral studies is conducted between 15 – 30 September – the Faculty Council specifies the exact date and the Dean endorses it. Information on the exam's date is published in local press and on information boards at the Faculty.
